About MyPayCalc
MyPayCalc is a free gross-to-net salary calculator covering 42 countries. Enter a gross salary, pick a country, and see your estimated take-home pay, tax breakdown, and social contribution split in seconds.
What it does
The calculator takes a gross annual (or gross monthly) salary and applies the income tax brackets, social security contributions, and standard tax credits for the selected country. The result is an estimate of the net annual and monthly take-home pay, alongside the effective rate and a line-by-line breakdown of deductions.
You can also enter a net salary and work backwards: the tool uses a bisection algorithm to find the gross salary that produces the target net, so you can translate a desired take-home into the gross figure you need to negotiate.
Who it is for
Employees and job seekers comparing offers or trying to understand a payslip in a new country.
Expats and remote workers evaluating whether a salary in a foreign country is competitive after local taxes.
Recruiters and HR professionals giving candidates a quick sense of net pay expectations.
Anyone curious about how much of a salary different countries actually keep.
Coverage
MyPayCalc covers 42 countries across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. Each country uses 2025 or 2026 tax rates (noted per page), and each entry is updated when significant rate changes occur. The Netherlands page uses 2026 rates from the Belastingdienst. Data sources are noted on individual country pages and in the methodology page.
What it does not cover
- State or provincial income tax (Canada, US, Australia)
- Employer-paid contributions (shown separately where relevant)
- Benefits in kind, bonuses, or equity compensation
- Individual circumstances such as children, marriage status, disability credits
- Special regimes such as the Dutch 30% ruling or Portuguese NHR
- Investment income, rental income, or self-employment (freelance) tax rules
For anything that will actually affect a real decision, use the tool as a starting point and confirm the details with a local tax professional or the relevant tax authority.
No sign-up, no cost
